In the winter of 2001, our family moved from New Jersey to Connecticut with the goal of starting a family run business. My wife and I moved with our five children to Granby, CT and started laying the ground work that produced S&S Alarm Systems today. My wife, Stephanie, and I have been married 32 years and know what it means to be committed to relationships and goals. Our family focuses on doing our best to help those in need throughout our state and community by providing excellence in service along with live communication with either myself or my son, Dan.

Co-Owner
Steven is the co-owner/operator of S&S Alarm Systems. He holds a low voltage electrical contracting license in the state of CT. Steven has been working in the alarm industry for 27 years in the states of NJ, NY, and CT. He is highly skilled in trouble shooting and in the design of the layout for various systems including nurse call, fire alarm, access control, and surveillance.
Dan is a co-owner of S&S Alarm and is the oldest son of Steven. He has been with S&S for 5 years. Dan is highly skilled at trouble shooting and installations. His specialty is with the installation and programming of wireless systems. Dan is the driving force for new technologies and opportunities for S&S Alarm.

Our typical intrusion alert system is run by the Honeywell Lyric and Vista Series Smart Home controllers, available for both residential and commercial security. We trust them so much that we have them running the security in our own homes. They are safe, reliable, and affordable systems that we would recommend to anyone looking for home and business security. These systems are also able to run smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detectors to allow for maximum residential or commercial safety. Both Lyric and Vista have smart phone remote access and control capabilities and can be fitted with wireless medical alert. Fire/Smoke Alarm
For fire and smoke alarms, we trust Silent Knight and Fire-Lite systems above all else. These systems provide quality fire safety notice and are very user friendly, requiring only a key or password in order to disable any false alarms your business may encounter. These systems are great for commercial use because they are expandable to allow for hundreds of alarm initiation and notification devices that can all run on one easy to use system. Surveillance
For all video surveillance, both commercial and residential, we recommend Hikvision surveillance systems. Hikvision offers a wide array of award winning cameras and software all designed to protect your home or place of business from would be intruders. The typical cameras we use are from the Smart Pro IP Solutions line, which provide clarity in poor lighting, high quality imaging, and 180 panoramic viewing. Access Control
For access control in small office or building, we recommend Honeywell NetAXS. This system allows for easy control of doorways for priority status individuals all from a web based system that can be run from an office computer. This technology is offered in wireless format and is remote access capable. It’s a safe, reliable, and cost efficient way to ensure that only authorized personnel are coming and going. For large campuses including healthcare, educational , office, and apartment/condominium complexes, a wide variety of name brand products such as Honeywell, Schlage, and HID provide smart technology for today’s standard of operation and living. A new smart technology we have begun using is the smart door knob for apartments and condominiums, these can be extended to office buildings as well. For more infomation on Schlage. Our typical nurse call systems are Engineered Electronics products. These American made, reliable systems are designed to ensure that the nurse station is made aware of any resident needs.
